Masjid Board - Prayer Times & Tasbih is designed to help Masjids and Muslims view and manage prayer times, Jamath information and Tasbih counting in a simple and reliable way.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be handled when you use Masjid Board and how that information is used.
1 Information We Handle
Masjid Board does not require you to create a personal account simply to view a Masjid's prayer times.
Depending on the features you use, the service may handle the following information:
- Masjid name.
- Masjid location or area information.
- Prayer and Jamath times.
- Jumu'ah time.
- Sunrise time.
- Browser/device technical information that may be automatically provided by the web server or platform.
2 Masjid Information
Users may create or select a Masjid for displaying its prayer information.
Masjid information such as the Masjid name and location is stored on our server so that the information can be displayed when the Masjid page is opened.
A Masjid page may display the Masjid name, location, Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Jumu'ah and Sunrise times.
This information is intended to provide useful prayer information to the Masjid community.
3 Prayer Time Updates
Masjid Board allows prayer times to be edited and updated when the relevant feature is available.
When a prayer time is changed, the updated time may be sent to our server so that the latest information can be displayed to users.
Prayer information may include:
- Fajr
- Sunrise
- Zuhr
- Asr
- Maghrib
- Isha
- Jumu'ah
4 Browser Storage
Masjid Board uses browser local storage for certain convenience settings.
For example, the website may remember the Masjid selected by the user and whether prayer sounds are enabled.
These settings are stored in the user's browser/device and are not intended to identify the user personally.
Users can normally remove browser storage by clearing the website's browser data or local storage through their browser settings.
5 Prayer Sounds & Notifications
Masjid Board can use audio for prayer-related sounds, including Azan audio and reminder sounds.
Audio playback is controlled by the browser and the user's sound preference.
The application does not need to collect personal information simply to play these sounds.
6 Tasbih Counter
Masjid Board includes Tasbih-related functionality.
Information generated by a Tasbih counter is used to provide the counting functionality requested by the user.
Tasbih counting itself does not require the collection of information such as a user's name, telephone number or physical address.
7 Hijri Date Service
Masjid Board requests the current Gregorian-to-Hijri date information from the AlAdhan API.
This is used to display the Hijri date alongside the current date on the prayer display.
AlAdhan API
The third-party service may process technical information associated with an API request according to its own policies.
8 Location Information
The Masjid Board page can display the location or area associated with a Masjid.
This location information is Masjid information entered or associated with the Masjid record. It is not the same as continuously tracking a user's device location.
9 Sharing Masjid Links
Masjid Board provides a Share function that allows users to share the currently displayed Masjid page.
When the Share function is used, the browser's own sharing system may be opened.
The shared information can include the Masjid page URL and a message indicating that the page contains prayer and Jamath times.
Sharing is controlled by the user. Masjid Board does not automatically send the Masjid link to the user's contacts.
10 Screen Wake Lock & Fullscreen
Masjid Board is designed to work on mobile devices as well as large screens and Masjid TV displays.
Where supported by the browser, the application may use the Screen Wake Lock feature to help prevent the screen from turning off while the prayer display is being used.
The application may also use the browser's Fullscreen API when the user chooses the Fullscreen option.
These browser features are used for display functionality and are not intended to collect personal information.
